Phuket Sandbox 1 July 2021

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has advised that the “Phuket Sandbox” planned opening on the 1 st of July 2021 remains on track to opening to fully vaccinated foreign tourists. It is aimed at accelerating the revival of the country’s tourism industry and paving the way for the reopening of other tourist destinations within Thailand
The approved plan as we understand it stipulates that there would be no quarantine for international visitors who must remain in Phuket for at least 7 nights before travelling elsewhere. The plan is planned to come into effect on 1 July, 2021.
